Random List
- We have had multiple days in a row where Miss C has NOT cried at the daycare drop off. Can I just tell you that this makes my day start off much, much better.
- We had the most fun this week putting her toys in a plastic bowl and dumping them out and putting them back in one-by-one. Each time she put one in I would say, monkey, red block, etc.
- Miss C is doing some new gestures that we aren't quite sure what she means. One we think she picked up from a little girl in daycare. She puts her palms up in an "I don't know" kinda of manner.
- Cruising around holding on to everything is great fun for her.
- For meals we aren't giving much jar food anymore. We are just giving her small portions of what we eat. I am still leery of dairy so we are limiting her intake there. She does love cottage cheese though so we think there isn't much of an allergy there. We are slowly incorporating more foods into her diet at home and at the daycare.
- With the exception of her morning and evening bottles everything else she drinks is in a cup. We are doing juice, water and formula.
- Miss C also likes to feed herself so we are working on spoon feeding. We will give her a spoon and put a little food on it while we feed her. She is getting pretty good at doing it herself.
- She now points at things she wants and says "Mo!" when she wants more of something.
- Most recently she pointed at me, pointed at the box of Cheerios and said MO!
- This weekend is her big birthday party with Cousin Mia. She is very excited and has a new outfit just for the party.
- I cannot believe in 8 days she will be 1. Time has flown by and she has changed so much.

Last Year, This Year
Today I was ready over my archives from this time last year. I was ginormously pregnant and over it in the days leading up to Miss C's arrive. I still firmly believe they should not tell you a due date when you are pregnant. They should tell you a range. That way you aren't completely and utterly devastated when that due date comes and goes.
This month I feel very nostalgic and a finding myself in total awe of my little girl. She is wickedly funny and quite mischievous...definitely our baby. 12 years from now I may have a different opinion of the mischievousness but right now I love it.
In other news we had a day this week where Miss C did not cry when I dropped her off or picked her up from daycare. That is probably one of the most difficult daily things is to drop her off and have her cry like she will never recover. Of course, I know she does but that look on her face breaks my heart.
She also appears to have a little boyfriend in her class. They sit next to each other in the high chairs at meal times and share food and hold hands. They also play together and carry on intense conversations in their own baby talk. Super cute.
Here are some pics...
