Life gets away from me

Some times life just flies by and I realize it's almost Thanksgiving and I haven't written anything in awhile. The girls are growing like weeds. Everyday I am more in love with the both of them.

R is now 18 months. Just had her check up recently and is average across the board for weight and height. She's talking up a storm but some things only we understand.

• Her BA is her blankie. And we hear BA a lot around her. She looks like Linus carrying around BA.


• There are the usual MaMa, DaDa, Bye, Hi.


• A new addition is No along with Ouch.


• C is Sisa


• She's starting to learn the grandparents and can say Nana and Papa. Granny and Grumpy are a little more difficult.


• Animals are Duck, Woof-Woof, Oink.


• She's also started saying, "I poop" even if she has only peed. Which is good either way.

Most days she's a pretty affectionate and happy little girl. Hugs and kisses abound. She can play by herself for awhile and loves C's doll house more than C ever did. Oh and Elmo. Girl loves, loves, loves ELBOW. She also loves doing anything and everything her big sister does. I expect that might continue to be a problem as she grows up.

She also can have her not so great toddler moments. Most stem from not getting her way and getting to do something her sister gets to do. And when she's unhappy, she's very unhappy and will let you know it. Thankfully she's happy more often than not.

C is my "Big GURL" as she likes to call herself. So smart and funny. We're working on letters and numbers. She'll rattle things off sometimes and I am not sure how she knows what she does. Definitely our creative girl who likes to write and draw all the time. Reminds me of me.

She'll dance and sing all around the house. Kicking her leg out and twirling around. She'd also prefer to be outside more than inside. Loves riding her bike and scooter and swinging. She could swing for hours.

We're still working on her not tackling her sister when she hugs her. Also working on R not pulling chunks of her hair out when she does that. Sisterly love.

Overall we are all well. Life continues to go on and the girls continue to grow even if I don't write.
